The Most Revd Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury will be visiting Malmesbury on Saturday 13th September 2014. We shall be ringing a quarter peal of Reverse Canterbury Pleasure Place Doubles in the morning and will ring prior to the Baptism and Service at 4pm.

Phase 1 of the maintenence is over and our bells are now back in action. We restart our regular activities with Sunday Ringing at 09:30 on Sunday 17th August. Phase 2 will happen in the autumn; more details later.

Work has been continuing in the tower over the past weeks. A new opepe beam has been installed, the metal frame reconstructed and today bells 7 and 8 were replaced in their pits. It is hoped that we will be able to restart ringing at Malmesbury in the near future. There will be a further […]

The annual tower outing takes place this coming Saturday, 19th July. We are visiting 6 towers in West Berkshire. Assemble in the Station Yard car park at 08:00hrs for a PROMPT departure at 08:15

8 & 7 have now been removed from their pits. New bearings and the new beam are being sourced. The work continues. We continue to ring in Shipton Moyne as per the calendar.

The planned work on the bells has started. The Malmesbury ringers will be holding their practice nights at Shipton Moyne every Tuesday at 19:30.
